Three decades of accountant-trained workflows, unmatched reliability across tax regime changes, a CA ecosystem that speaks Tally as a second language, and a user base that includes practically every listed Indian company's subsidiaries and thousands of their suppliers. Ripping Tally out to install a new cloud retail ERP is almost always the wrong move. Your accountant has encoded years of chart-of-account wisdom in it. Your CA reconciles GSTR with it on the 10th and 20th every month. Your banker audits it during credit renewals. ShelfLifePro runs as the system-of-engagement — the screen your cashiers, warehouse staff, store managers, and owner look at every day. Every sale rings up on the ShelfLifePro POS with FEFO enforcement and barcode scanning. Every supplier invoice is photographed and OCR'd into a GRN. Overnight automations ship the 6 AM priority read plus the day's suggested actions.

Every transaction is then synced to Tally Prime in Tally's native XML format — sales vouchers, purchase vouchers, receipts, payments, journal adjustments. Your accountant opens Tally on the 10th to file GSTR and sees the clean vouchers already there, with HSN codes, party ledgers, and tax splits correctly mapped. Two-way sync means Tally-side edits (ledger reconciliations, journal entries, year-end adjustments) flow back to ShelfLifePro too.

Result: one retail-floor UI for operations, one books-of-record for accounting, zero double-entry between them. The CA keeps doing exactly what they already do. You get the AI layer and the modern retail ops.

Typical setup: Tally Prime stays at the accountant's office and becomes read-only for store staff. ShelfLifePro runs on counter PCs, warehouse tablets, and store manager phones. Daily sync pushes transactions from ShelfLifePro to Tally; weekly sync pulls ledger balances back. For multi-location businesses we support location-wise Tally companies or a single consolidated company — whatever your CA prefers.

Onboarding takes about 10 days end-to-end. Week 1 is data import from your current Tally + Marg/Vyapar/Excel mess. Week 2 is the Tally sync configuration plus the first cutover store. After that, you add stores one at a time or all at once, depending on comfort level.
